With 2014 right around the corner, it’s time to start making some plans!  Here are a few local events to consider:

v  The New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop:

Pier Park is the place to be this New Year’s.  The celebration will begin at 5:30 p.m. and will include live music, giveaways, fireworks, and of course the 800 pound, lighted ball will drop just before midnight!  There will also be a separate ball drop earlier in the evening which will consist of over 10,000 inflatable beach balls being released onto the boardwalk at Pier Park.  This event is free, and open to the public.

v  Blood Drive at Margaritaville:

1/4/2014

10 a.m.-1 p.m.

You will see the blood mobile in the parking lot adjacent to Margaritaville.  There will be drawings with the chance to win Fandango tickets!  Come on out for a good cause.

v  Beach Boogie Dance:

1/25/2014

6-10:00 p.m.

Located at the PCB Senior Center off Lyndell Lane

There will be music by Jim Lawson.  It is a BYOB event, and hors d’oeuvres will be provided.  Admission is $15.
