Leftover Turkey Recipes

We all know there is always tons of leftover food from Thanksgiving, especially turkey! Rather than throwing the food away, or eating the same turkey for the next few weeks; why not come up with a few great recipes to add some flavor. Miller & Associates went on a hunt to find the perfect recipes for the abundance of leftovers shoved in your fridge! The Taste of Home website has a lot to offer when it comes to ideas for that extra turkey. When you try and ponder on what to make, the first thing that comes to mind is thanksgiving recipes and the fact that if you cook another meal you may just start making your bed in the kitchen..

Thankfully, Taste of Homes has provided a few easy recipes for you to provide for your family. Though there is an endless amount, we have chosen to pick out a select few that are our favorites.

Turkey Fettuccine Skillet Recipe

Directions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package directions. Meanwhile, in a large ovenproof skillet coated with cooking spray, saute the onion, celery and garlic in oil for 3 minutes. Add mushrooms; cook and stir until vegetables are tender. Stir in the milk, seasoning blend and salt. Bring to a boil.
  2. Combine cornstarch and half-and-half until smooth; stir into skillet. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened and bubbly. Stir in Parmesan cheese just until melted.
  3. Stir in turkey. Drain fettuccine; add to turkey mixture. Heat through. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Broil 4-6 in. from the heat for 2-3 minutes or until cheese is melted. Yield: 6 servings.

Black Bean ‘n’ Pumpkin Chili Recipe

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and pepper; cook and stir until tender. Add garlic; cook 1 minute longer.
  2. Transfer to a 5-qt. slow cooker; stir in the remaining ingredients. Cook, covered, on low 4-5 hours. If desired, top with avocado and green onions. Yield: 10 servings (2-1/2 quarts).
