Florida is blessed with a multitude of state parks offering a wide range of activities.  Whether you’re looking to picnic, swim, fish or just relax, these parks are only a short drive from Panama City Beach.

St. Andrews State Park – https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/St-Andrews

Located on the east end of Panama City Beach, the St. Andrews State Park offers swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, camping and ample opportunity to fish.

Camp Helen State Park – https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/Camp-Helen

Camp Helen State Park is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on three sides. Lake Powell, one of the largest coastal dune lakes in Florida, borders Camp Helen and was originally used as a company resort for an Alabama textile mill. The park features restored buildings from that era.

Deer Lake State Park features spectacular views of the dune ecosystem and one of the rare coastal dune lakes.  Enjoy easy access to the beach via a boardwalk and one of the area’s largest populations of rare plants.

Grayton Beach State Park – https://www.floridastateparks.org/park/Grayton-Beach

This nearly 2,000-acre park offers freshwater and saltwater fishing. Hikers and bicyclists can enjoy more than four miles of trails, and offers options for overnight stays.
