Whether you are a tourist or one of our locals, Panama City Beach and the surrounding areas offers you a plethora of year round entertainment to satisfy any desire. Sitting and relaxing, and soaking up the sun on the beautiful beach is just a small portion of all that you can experience in our community. Let’s start with the local TDC. Year round they host many different events. Some of these include: The Gulf Coast Jam, The Spring Jam, Pirates of the High Seas, New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop, Thunder Beach, UNwineD, and the PCB Mardi Gras and Music Festival. Other events include the Iron Man Triathlon, the 4th of July Festival, the Seabreeze Jazz Festival, the Winter Residents events, and the Summer Concert Series.
Once you’ve gotten your fill of fun entertainment why not eat, drink, and be merry at one of our scrumptious local restaurants with food prepared by some of our famous local chefs. There is such a wide array of choices. Trip Advisor has ranked the top local restaurants to visit while in PCB by categories of Fine Dining, and Cheap Eats. ‘Fine Dining’ includes- Fire Fly, Salt Water Grill, Captain Anderson’s, and Dolce 101. ‘Cheap Eats’ includes- David’s Snow Balls, Eat My Pasty, Finns Italian Style Grub, and Diego’s Burrito Factory as just a few. Many local favorites are also available throughout the beach so your choices are never ending.
For shopping and pleasure why not visit the famous Pier Park which is always rapidly expanding. Also, for more fun and variety visit Ripley’s Believe it or Not, Wonder Works, Gulf World, or Zoo World all different and worth the trip. Play some miniature golf, ride go carts, or visit one of the many arcade facilities found up and down the strip.
Finally, for the not too out of the way day trip why not take a ride to one of our many surrounding natural springs/state parks? Just a short drive away you can visit the Florida Caverns, Wakulla Springs, Vortex Springs, Ponce De Leon Springs, Eco Fina, and Eden Gardens to name a few. Everything from the tallest waterfall in Florida, beach camping, to crystal clear natural springs and cave diving are some of the natural surrounding sites you can visit. Florida’s Panhandle offers such a variety of options- all different and beautiful in its own way.
