Emerald Coast Cruizin The South’s Best Blast from the Past family fun event. Thousands of classic cars, hot rods, custom cars and trucks make way to beautiful Panama City Beach,Florida for this week long festival. There will be over 125 + top name  automotive vendors on hand, as well as a huge swap meet and Auto Car Corral. Also there will be a ladies section with great crafts, jewelry, and so much more. Kids will love the kiddy area with fun rides games and more! Each night is full of activities from cruising, great bands, and special shows.

Come enjoy a celebration of the various cultures from around the world! This event is broken up into different “villages” that show case the dances, crafts, and foods from the different cultures.  The villages include the Latin village, European Village, Middle Eastern Village, and Asian Village.  This is an event the whole family can enjoy and possibly learn a new dance!

Panama Jack Pier to Pier Paddleboard Classic

8:30-9:30 am Shotgun start fishing tournament 9:55-10 am- Announcements 10:00 am- 10k Elite Race 10:30- am- 2.5k Rec Race 11:45 Relay race (time may change depending on elite race times) 12:15- 1:30 pm- Lunch and awards When: Elite 10k on November 9th 2013 at 10am, weather permitting. 2.5k Rookie Race at 10:30 Where: At Sharky’s of Panama City Beach Board classes are: open, surf style up to 12’6″, 12’6” displacement hull, and 14’ displacement hull. Women’s and men’s divisions available for each class. Recreational race is open for board class but will also have women’s and men’s divisions. Fishing tournament will be a minimum 1ft fish caught with light rod and lure on a SUP. First one in with a keeper wins! We have three teams interested in having a relay race after the distance race- if we can get at least four teams we will add the event to the list. Please let me know if you are interested. The relay race rules are you must have at least one wahine (female) per four person team, and all riders must switch off and race the same board. It will be in and out of the water, with a run through the sand before tagging up. The prize will be the First Annual PCB Pier to Pier Trophy. The winning team will get to display the trophy for one year until the next event. The team name will be engraved on the trophy along with the year they won the event. We encourage schools, colleges, businesses, and other professional groups to participate for the great causes!

Addams Family Musical

The Addams Family, Broadway’s smash hit musical comedy, brings the deliriously delightful world of Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester, Grandma, Wednesday, Pugsley and Lurch to spooky and spectacular life. Based on the bizarre and beloved family of characters created by legendary cartoonist Charles Addams, The Addams Family features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare. Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family. A man her parents have never met. And if that weren’t upsetting enough, she confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother.

The Bay County Chamber of Commerce announces it will be partnering with The Color Vibe Race Series to bring a Color Vibe 5k Race to Panama City, FL. A Color Vibe Race Series 5k is a fun 3.1 mile run infused with color. Runners start the race with a clean white shirt to pass through four color stations along the course to end up with a bright and vibrant tie-dye shirt at the finish. The point is not to race, but to literally become a canvas of color, be active, and share a life experience with friends and family. The colored powder thrown at the color stations is simply colored cornstarch that is 100% safe and biodegradable. To register for the event, visit www.thecolorvibe.com.
