A Bay County Christmas tradition that gives families a fun and festive event to share the season’s beauty and meaning. Volunteers decorate and donate trees, wreaths and centerpieces for auction. Their variety and creativity set the stage for a Christmas wonderland! Sweet memories of Christmases past abound as visitors stroll around a hall full of holiday vignettes. Mrs. Claus’s Boutique Shoppe offers gifts, clothing, accessories, and decorations at value prices for every age! Donated treasures are offered in a silent auction. Baked treats tempt the senses. Scheduled entertainment and informational events engage visitors and showcase the talents of women students. Hosted by the Panama City Rescue Mission. 5k Reindeer Race

The JL 5K Reindeer Race & 1-mile Santa Shuffle race starts at the St. Andrews State Park in Panama City Beach under another beautiful balloon archway! All runners and walkers are treated to a down-and-back lap along the picturesque and flat loop of one of Florida’s most amazing state parks.

68th Annual Panama City Christmas Parade

For sixty-eight years, the Panama City Jaycees has hosted the annual Jaycees Christmas Parade in downtown Panama City. Hundreds of spectators line Harrison Avenue each year to watch the wonders unfold (and anxiously await the arrival of the Man in Red!). Parade starts at 7pm at the Panama City Marina, along Harrison Ave to 13th Street. Funds raised are used to assist local children at Christmas.

Optimist Christmas Parade

Don’t miss the Optimist Christmas Parade on Panama City Beach! Floats from businesses, schools, entertainment and community groups, individuals, marching bands and car clubs will line the streets. This festive parade route will start down South Powell Adams Road, West Front Beach Road, Pier Park Drive through Pier Park and will finish behind Target.

The Biggest Loser RunWalk Race Series in Panama City Beach, Florida sold out last year and was an amazing event! Everyone wants to know, “Will The Biggest Loser RunWalk be back in Panama City Beach for 2013?” The answer is “YES!” Get excited! Get your teams together. Get amped and get ready to take the Challenge!

6th Annual New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop

On December 31, Panama City Beach will embrace its seaside roots with the 6th annual Beach Ball Drop hosted by Pier Park. The Beach Ball Drop event represents what the destination is all about — white sand beaches, family togetherness and just plain fun. The festivities begin on New Year’s Eve at 5:30 p.m. and will feature a Family Celebration complete with prize drawings, stilt walkers, mascots and the kid-friendly Family Beach Ball Drop, consisting of more than 10,000 inflatable beach balls released onto Pier Park Drive on the boardwalk. This leads into the Midnight Celebration featuring live entertainment, fireworks and the New Year’s Eve Beach Ball Drop.
