Not only is Bay County and its surrounding areas known as a popular tourist destination but it is also a popular filming destination as well.  For years now, such entities as music videos, commercials, documentaries, movie productions, and TV shows have been filmed in our locality and according to the Bay County Film Commissioner, filming continues to abound!  Recently, one of our local news stations aired a segment highlighting the filming industries interest in the panhandle, but most notably in Panama City Beach.  According to their news report, Bay County had a total of 30 productions filmed here in the last year.  This included everything from Animal Planet, the Travel Channel, and HGTV.  Also, reality renovation shows like Fixer Upper and Flip or Flop are also in the works to be videoed here in the near future.

The news report then went on to say that with this rise in film production in the area our tourism industry benefits greatly.  Economically we thrive when someone views these shows. Interest is peaked when people see the beauty of what Bay County and its beaches have to offer.  They then want to come look for themselves.  Accordingly, then, as the economy is stimulated jobs are also created.  Job creation is always welcome.  With the Florida Film Office continuing its marketing and promotional campaign of Bay County and the surrounding areas considering a venture in real estate now and in the near future is a wise decision.  Panama City Beach will continue to prosper and as the market flourishes so will your investment.  Contact Miller & Associates to help guide you in your future purchase!
