Saving Summer Memories

Summer is finally here and you and your family are ready to hit the beach and enjoy some fun in the sun. With a few easy projects, you can bring that beach feeling to your home.

Photos are always an easy start. We suggest bringing some cut outs with the date on them for posing in the sand. Another fun activity is making a beach tent and snapping shots of it; they will look great in the family album or framed. Display the photos in inexpensive frames customized with shells, sea glass and driftwood.

Driftwood and seashells are an easy way to decorate your side and dining room table as well. Scatter some shells and driftwood on the table and place a candle in the middle for a pleasing centerpiece, or glue shells and driftwood to a grapevine wreath for a beautiful and welcoming front door.

And my personal favorite, take a few left over jars, fill them with sand, add a nice candle and enjoy instant mood lighting with a beach feel in your home!

These easy projects can bring the beach inside, and remind you of the fun-filled days of summer.
