About The Panama City Area
Located on northwest Florida’s Gulf coast, Bay County is comprised of several cities including the popular Panama City and Panama City Beach, as well as Lynn Haven, Callaway and Southport. The county was created in 1913 and was named for the multiple bays and bayous located in the area.
Homeowners enjoy the area for its beautiful natural surroundings, diverse culture, amazing nightlife and incredible dining. Panama City Beach has been named the “World’s Most Beautiful Beaches” multiple times. With over 27 miles of white sugary sand, it’s no wonder residents are so proud of this designation.
Redevelopment
Over the past several years, Panama City Beach has seen a drastic change in not only its appearance, but the real estate market as well. There are opportunities for anyone looking for homes, condos, town homes, or large tracts of land – even commercial real estate. Currently under construction are huge improvements to our area. Our local Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) has a master plan to make Panama City Beach a “walkable community.” By adding more sidewalks, bike paths and streetscapes, the CRA plans to promote what Bay County is all about… enjoying the outdoors.
