Did you know that if you were to take a vacation during the fall you could save more money than if you went during the summer. Here in Panama City Beach we were named one of the Top 20 Most Affordable Fall Vacation areas by TripAdvisor. Due to the school year starting the beaches won’t be as crowded and the vacation rental rates tend to drop $300-$500.
The best time to visit during the fall is during the months of September and October. On average the change in prices from summer to fall is around 30%. For some visitors, this new information will turn Panama City Beach into an all year-round vacation area. Overall it is during the fall that you will get more for your money, plus it is less crowded on the streets as most summer visitors head home for the school year.
According to wjhg, Palmetto Inn and Suites sold out for the month of September because of the areas popularity. Some of the other popular locations include; Destin, Seagrove Beach, Miramar Beach, and Fort Walton Beach.
Panama City Beach has also been named the second most popular Labor Day Weekend Vacation Destinations. According to WMBB, tourism records were broken, as condos and resorts were full that weekend. Over the entire weekend Sunday was the busiest. It was a profitable weekend to most of the surrounding businesses. One of the reasons why this area was so popular was Pepsi’s Gulf Coast Jam which only has a few slightly delayed performances due to small thunderstorms. It was the beginning of the fall festivall lineups and events.
