Using
Clean glass and mirrors with a combination of 4 tablespoons lemon juice to 2 quarts water. Your windows and mirrors will sparkle, leaving a fresh clean scent. Lemon juice can also be used to remove stains on vinyl flooring and furniture.
Most metal polishes include ammonia and acid, making them harmful to the environment. Make a paste using salt, vinegar and flour; rub the paste onto the brass or copper item with a clean soft cloth. Coat the entire surface and let it dry (takes about an hour). Wipe off the dried paste with a clean soft cloth.
A basic solution of vinegar and water is a perfect choice for cleaning most types of bare floors. Mix one cup of vinegar with one gallon of warm water and mop it onto your vinyl, ceramic tile, linoleum and wood floors. There is no need to rinse, saving time and water. To restore shine to your linoleum floor, mop with straight club soda. Use a light touch; do not saturate wood floors with the vinegar and water solution. This eco-friendly solution will remove any greasy buildup and make your floors shine.
