Is your home in a time warp?

While going through your high school yearbook may bring a smile to your face, outdated home features can make your home unappealing to potential buyers.  These home features have gone the way of shoulder pads and stirrup pants:

Mauve – This dusty rose color was popular when Madonna ruled MTV.  Upgrade to earth tones.

Wallpaper Borders – Even if you’re a fan of wallpaper, borders have come and gone.  Remove the wallpaper border and use wallpaper on an accent wall.

Gold Fixtures – Unless you’re an Olympic athlete, gold is not the way to go. The gold finish can become discolored or rusty over time, and screams.  Update your bath fixtures and hardware with brass or bronze to instantly modernize.

The good news is that most of the changes can be made relatively inexpensively. Easy cosmetic changes can turn your buyer’s impression from a “no” to a “yes”!
