Ever wonder what the designations following your realtors name mean? Here is a short list of the specialized training and designations available for real estate professionals:
ABR® – Accredited Buyer’s Representative®
This designation is for real estate professionals who specialize on working with property purchasers at every stage of the home-buying process.
CRE™ – Counselor of Real Estate™
The Counselors of Real Estate® designation is a group of internationally recognized real estate professionals who provide expert, experienced and objective advice on real estate matters. Membership is by invitation only, and there are only 1,100 practitioners world-wide.
GRI – Graduate, REALTOR® Institute
Real estate professionals with the GRI designation have specialized in-depth training in regulatory and legal issues, as well as professional standards and technology.
SFR® – Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource®
This certification assures real estate professionals have specialized training in working with distressed sellers and the financial, tax and legal professionals who can help them.
