Do you have your Priority Checklist?

Anyone who has searched for a home knows that the options can be overwhelming. Before searching, take a few minutes to determine your priorities: the must-haves, the can’t-haves, and everything in between.
List and rate each priority by category. What matters most? Must-haves may include a garage, a specific neighborhood, proximity to school, or any other priorities you “must have”.
Then look at your lists with an objective eye. Are your expectations in line with reality? Maybe your must-haves are not available in your price range; if so, tweak your list of priorities until you are comfortable.
The reality is that almost every home purchase involves some compromise. If the neighborhood is perfect and the price is in your range, but the master bedroom is a little smaller than you want, is that enough to put the brakes on the deal? Is a two-car garage negotiable?
It is rare to find a home that meets your wants and needs perfectly, and your priorities will move up and down with each house you see. Your real estate agent can help you navigate and negotiate your priorities to ensure you are happy with your new home purchase. Call Miller & Associates for more information.
